“ After a long day of day drinking on cinco de Mayo. I was in the mode for some pho, not going to lie I was very hesitant about eat hear due to it atmosphere not being authentic enough. Meaning more of a mom and pop spot. The set up was different compared to the other pho restaurants I go to. You have to order your food first, then go find a table and put your assigned number on it so that the server knows what table to bring the food too. To my surprise everything was really good. I ordered spicy pho with beef flank and shrimp, Thai ice tea and shrimp spring rolls. The best of it all they have a number of options for cheese cake any flavor you can think off. I tried the sweet potato cheesecake man oh man! Sooooo good! Everyone was very friendly and they stay open until 2am for now. Definitely recommend coming here if your in the mid town area. ”

“ I was staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Midtown Atlanta for the weekend. I searched up food places that are walking distance from the hotel and I found this one. We arrived right after 11 am (opening time) and it was fairly quiet. We were seated immediately and the server was very attentive throughout it all. I ordered the orange chicken with fried rice and my partner got the spicy pho with chicken. Their spicy was definitely what you expect and want, unlike other pho places that give you mild broth. My orange chicken was delicious and I like that my fried rice wasn't too oily. We also shared the coconut pineapple smoothie and OMG hands down one of the best smoothies I've ever tried. I would recommend this establishment to anybody looking to get a quick meal in the Midtown Atlanta area. ”

“ I came across this restaurant on my way home and picked up a Grilled Shrimp Banh Mi, which took the chef less than 10 minutes to make. The bread was incredibly hard, but the shrimp were cooked to perfection. Overall, the banh mi was delicious, but I would have appreciated a little bit of more sauce inside the sandwich. ”

“ Overall 4/5: My friend and I ordered take out from here just because it's under his apartment. Solid choice and convenient. Food 4/5: Not too pricey for the city. I got pho which was good, pretty classic. But the wings! the wings were sooo good. The sauce on them were amazing and they were so juicy. not over cooked at all. we also got the spring rolls which has no complaints, pretty standard. Would order from again, Thank you, Vietvana. ”

“ I've enjoyed the food at Khanh Vietnamese Pho & Sandwich in Duluth (http://bit.ly/3aEDO8h) and the original Vietvana Pho Noodle House location in Avondale Estates (https://bit.ly/2ZA0v8Y) so it came as no surprise to me that the food at Vietvana's newest location in Midtown was enjoyable as well. Simply put, Vietvana is a solid all-around Vietnamese restaurant and it brings to Midtown several "authentic" dishes that previously could only be found outside the city. The owners, wife Khanh Dang (for whom the old Khanh restaurant was named after) and husband Dinh Tran, are good people and the manager at this location, Quan Hoang, is super friendly and attentive. We had a great experience here. This second location of Vietvana opened in February 2020 on the ground level of the new Square on Fifth high-rise apartment building near Georgia Tech. The big downside to this location is if you drive, parking is expensive. You can park on the street or in the Centergy deck behind the restaurant. We parked in the deck, were at the restaurant for less than two hours, and parking cost $12. Unfortunately, Vietvana does not validate. A lot of their business comes from office workers, students, and residents in the immediate vicinity. While this intown location of Vietvana is, unsurprisingly, not as big as its suburban counterpart, it's still fairly spacious. Inside, the design is similar to the Avondale Estates location featuring an open, airy, partitioned dining room, some communal seating, and a long bar. The space has a sleek, industrial look to it. Something this location has that the other doesn't is a large, green patio with over a half-dozen tables. It's not covered, but the tall buildings provide pleasant shade. The menu and quality of the food at this location was consistent to what I experienced at Avondale Estates. I like the variety that Vietvana's menu offers. Khanh and Dinh make their own pho noodles fresh daily. They're produced at an off-site kitchen and supplied to both restaurants. Also, I'm not sure about other Vietnamese restaurants in the Atlanta area, but Vietvana makes an effort to source their ingredients locally and use environmentally-friendly products. Here's what we tried at this location: Appetizers * Shrimp & Pork Spring Roll ($4.50) - fresh rice paper rolls with pork, shrimp, rice vermicelli, lettuce, and herbs; served with housemade peanut sauce * Vietnamese Wings ($6.95) - crispy chicken wings fried with housemade sweet garlic fish sauce Pho * Special Combination Beef ($11.95) - rare steak, flank, fatty brisket, tendon, tripe, and meatballs; housemade noodles and broth, topped with white and green onion, cilantro, and a side of fresh herbs Vermicelli * Grilled Beef & Pork Meatball in Betel Leaf ($11.95) - rice vermicelli, peanuts, shredded lettuce, basil, bean sprouts, pickled carrots and daikon, fried onion, and green onion; served with housemade fish sauce Banh Mi * Vietvana Sandwich ($5.95) - housemade pate, ham, roasted pork, meatball, and BBQ pork; served with housemade mayo, cucumber, pickled carrots and daikon, cilantro, and jalapeno Fried Rice * Special Combination ($12.95) - shrimp, beef, chicken, and sausage Drinks * Vietnamese Iced Coffee with Condensed Milk ($4.50) In general, everything was good. I had some of these items at Avondale Estates and ordered them again here. Same recipes, same satisfaction. As you can see from the descriptions above, many of sauces are made in-house. I think the Vietnamese Wings are a great shareable app. You get six wings to an order, a combination of flats and drumettes. They're nice and meaty with a delectably sweet and sticky sauce on the outside. Vietvana's pho broth is very "clean," fresh, and light tasting. It's not overseasoned or weighed down. That said, I do tend to prefer the heavier pho broths (maybe I'm just too accustomed to Pho Dai Loi's broth). My pho was packed with plenty of meat, though the rare steak was hardly rare. The omission of culantro at this location was a bit of a letdown, but understandable given the customer base. The Grilled Beef & Pork Meatball in Betel Leaf Vermicelli was excellent. I highly recommend it. I suggest pouring the entire serving of fish sauce into the bowl and mixing all the ingredients together well. The savory meat-stuffed betel leaves are the highlight. You can order them separately as an app too. Vietvana takes the "special combination" banh mi sandwich and makes it even more special by adding meatball and BBQ pork. I love banh mis with everything and I don't think you can go wrong with Vietvana's "Vietvana Sandwich" or "Special Combination Sandwich." From the delicious housemade pate, filled with umami, to the crisp pickles, I think it's currently the best banh mi *in* the city. To our surprise, the Special Combination Fried Rice also came with tasty BBQ pork. Win. As for the Vietnamese Iced Coffee, it was terrific. Strong, sweet, and delectably creamy. It's a must-order for me. ”
